Leonardo Stella, currently a PhD student at The University of Sheffield, has undertaken a secondment at Softeco in Genoa for a duration of 6 months, starting in April and ending in September. Leonardo is working on the development of a Decision Tool which would provide insights on the feasibility of an urban consolidation centre (UCC) in terms of the cost/benefit analysis. The aim is to integrate two fundamental aspects of the economic viability of UCCs, namely the planning and its associated costs in specific simulated scenarios, and the high-level management of the logistic base in terms the economic autonomy of the UCC from external funding sources.

Shucheng Luo has joined Leonardo in July for a 3-month secondment in Genoa to liaise with stakeholders and progress on the work being developed by Leonardo.
